Pearson Mathematics
Pearson Mathematics
was developed by Pearson Australia for the Australian Curriculum.
Chapter opener design showing a hero image and introduction.
Maths 4 Real sections (activities that have a unique design treatment) are inserted in the student book to give real-world context to the topic taught within a chapter.
Exercise section showing illustrations of geometric shapes arranged in ordered lists.
Each chapter starts with an introduction that features real-life examples of people using mathematics in their career.
Pearson Mathematics 7–8
Teacher Companions won the Australian Publishers Association (APA) award for Secondary Teaching Resource category.
Pearson Mathematics
Teacher Companions were designed as small booklets to be included in a large ring binder. There is a saddle stitched booklet for each chapter.
Exercise sections, for students to practise maths skills, consist of numbered questions and icons that link back to relevant Worked examples.
When the covers of the student books in the
Pearson Mathematics
series are placed together, the abstract white space forms a large ‘m’.
Mathspace sections gamify maths and are designed to engage students to have fun while learning.
Mixed review sections included in the student book contain review exercises based on topics covered in preceding chapters.
Cartoon characters were developed for Years 7–8 student books. The characters are design to engage younger students and assist with explaining mathematics concepts.
SMost chapters included inserts like this Maths 4 Real section. The sections are designed to have a magazine like appearance and give mathematics real-life context.
Answers are laid out in double columns at the back of the book. The answers are typeset as numbered lists, arranged in order using tabs.
